If you’re looking to join the LGPS with either Cambridgeshire or Northamptonshire Pension Fund as a member or employer, you’re in the right place!

If you’re looking to join the LGPS with another pension fund, you can get their details on the LGPS members website.

Members

If you start a job which is eligible to join the LGPS, membership is automatic if the contract is for longer than 3 months. You may also be allowed to join if you work for a:
• town/parish council
• charity providing a public service
• private company taking part in the LGPS.

Employers

If your organisation is a local authority like a:
• county or district council
• academy
• college
the LGPS regulations 2013 state you must take part in the scheme and enrol all eligible staff. If your organisation is a charity or contractor working for a school or council, you can choose to join the LGPS.
